For more than 170 years, BNSF and its predecessors have been bringing the goods and materials needed by a growing nation and now the world. It’s a commitment that we take very seriously and for which we are extremely proud. 

Five years ago, we launched Rail Talk to help share the stories of this commitment – to safety, service and innovation – as well as those that speak to the pride we take in our people, the communities in which we work and live, and our rich history. It’s been a great journey, with more than 200 stories told, liked and shared on our social media channels. 

“We started Rail Talk as a way to use in-depth stories about BNSF to show the communities we serve and the general public who may not be as familiar with BNSF’s mission how rail plays a critical role rail in the economy and the global supply chain,” Vice President Communications and Chief of Staff Zak Andersen said. “Rail Talk is also showing readers that we have great people working here with shared values, like delivering reliably for our customers, honoring our long heritage and building on our success for the future. We’re excited for the storytelling to come.”
